It is the first Friday night after the completion of the Spring 2014 Yoga Teacher Training Program that I offer through Yoga Six and I am sitting at home, with the door open to my deck, enjoying the sounds of the ocean and basking in S P A C E – I have nothing to do, this is a rare occasion and feels unfamiliar. For the past 12 weeks I have been making shit happen at the Yoga Six Corporate office putting in long days Monday through Friday in preparation for the opening of 3 studios in Chicago in the coming months and Friday evening, Saturday Sunday leading Teacher Training. Sounds like a lot – it is, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love what I do so much and I feel so honored to have the opportunity to guide so many on the path and share the depth that Yoga offers. Equipping my students with tools, insight and perhaps even a little inspiration.
For the past few hours I have been reminiscing about the stand out moments and savoring the sweetness of this incredible experience. The visceral memory in my cells remembers, and will never forget, I get choked up just thinking about them all. Holding space for breakdowns and supporting breakthroughs, witnessing the beauty of people’s hearts cracking wide open, which for some, was the first time in a long time. To be a part of this, to facilitate this, to walk this path, I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world.
Eternal gratitude for those that have landed into any of my trainings, thank you for trusting me to guide you, thank you for your commitment to challenging conversations and radical honesty, whether it was by choice, fate or luck that you landed in front of me, I am oh so glad you did. Thank you to Danny Arguetty and Coby Kozlowski for being the most kick ass friends, and inspiring the best in me and the programs that each of us put forth. To my husband, who is so supportive and encourages me to live my dream, you are the best. And to my co-pilot on this most recent training, Kelly Clifton Turner – the past few months have rocked, just thinking about you makes me laugh out loud. Thank you!!
